Join the Brainiac Mastery Club!

A Club for Students Interested in Learning!

This is a "club" for students who are interested in achieving "above and beyond" the normal classroom expectations.  All you have to do is learn about the topic, write it down, and when ready, come and tell your teacher during a "free" time.  You can become a 1-star member up to an 84-star member.  The learning and excitement never ends -- thank goodness!

The Mastery Club was created by Heather Renz, a teacher in Oregon, to challenge her students. I have borrowed this idea with her permission to challenge my students to do more than what they "have" to do. This is a club for students who are interested in achieving "above and beyond" the normal classroom expectations. All you have to do is learn ALL about the topic.

To participate, choose an area of study and get your pencil and your Brainiac Mastery Club notebook. Write the name and date for each activity, the name of the subject, and the number of the challenge. The paper you turn in must be in your very best handwriting or printing and be organized and neat looking. You may not bring pages printed directly from the Internet or copied from a book. Work MUST be in your own handwriting and you should be able to read and explain your answers to me.  Turn in your Brainiac Mastery Club notebook to earn credit for each challenge you complete.

When you have completed 4 challenges, you will be awarded a star. For each additional challenge you complete, you will be awarded another star. Once you have earned 15 stars you will be added to the Brainiac Mastery Club Hall of Fame.  You can be a 1 star member all the way up to an 84 star member. Have fun!  You do not have to use the websites listed; however, they may help you in your research!

Parents, I have taken extra measures to be sure all the links work and are kid-approved. If you find that something is out of order, please let me know immediately. As with all internet activities for children, adult supervision is encouraged. Help this be a wonderful learning experience.
